Pretty sure thats Jer on guitar and David Nelson on a mandilin or dobro.

Mando is my read as well (though you all know how bad I am at picking this stuff out). Do recall there was a show or two, perhaps with NRPS in which Jerry and David both played guitars--may have been Jerry on PedSteel, but think it was actually David joining the DEAD on electric. Damn, don't know where I have that memory from though.

This is one reason why I wish we had many more pics from that era so we could see who all was on stage, playing which instruments when the DEAD and NRPS members would "mix it up" together...on gospel tunes and such that I enjoy so much.
